FlameTech™ Fire Retardant Chemistry

FlameTech™ is PFS’s proprietary in-cylinder fire retardant formulation engineered for the production of pressure-impregnated fire-retardant-treated wood (FRTW).

Developed for structural lumber and plywood applications, FlameTech™ chemistry is designed to reduce flame spread and smoke development while supporting compliance with applicable building code requirements.

Code Recognition and Certification

FlameTech™-treated products are recognized as code compliant under:

  • ICC Evaluation Report ESR-4056
  • Listings with accredited testing agencies
  • Ongoing third-party inspections
  • UL listings for fire-retardant-treated lumber and plywood

FlameTech™ chemistry is utilized in applications where fire-retardant-treated materials are required, permitted, or specified by the International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC).
